I run two companies
e-Advantage Solutions Ltd and Feed My Guests Ltd, I am an Executive Committee Member (volunteer) at Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce and I am Entrepreneur in Residence at Brighton Business School (part of the University of Brighton).

At e-Advantage Solutions I provide software and services designed to help businesses work better, particularly through:

• an internet telephone solution for business www.voipadvantage.co.uk

• a leading flexible CRM system www.elinkuk.co.uk

• professional website and email hosting

At Feed My Guests my aim is to help people eat together more often. Why? Becuase many people now have food issues of one sort or another. They may have an allergy or intolerance to certain foods; follow a particular diet (GI/Atkins); be environmentally aware (food miles/GM/organic); or just be plain fussy about what they eat. This makes it much harder for people to invite other people to dinner: Too much hassle to work out what to feed them? Too many different food issues to cope with at one dinner party? Or worse, might I accidentally harm them or even kill them?

I have created an application for Facebook that means that if you are a Facebook user you can:

• be invited to dinner more;

• make sure your friends feed you what you like;

• know what to feed your own guests without making them ill;

• and make sure you don't bore your own dinner guests with the same old dishes every time!

I have been an Executive Committee Member of the Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce since 2001. So far in my time there, I've helped with the Chamber's: strategy; events; behind the scenes admin; Chaired the Local Issues working group; and am currently managing the implementation of the new Chamber website.

I recently became Entrepreneur in Residence at Brighton Business School and I am helping run workshops for final year business students (and some computing students). Hopefully, I'm adding some up-to-date facts, tips and examples from my experience of running businesses to the academic mix.
