About the Company
Canvas is an organisation founded by Claire Fearon that is changing the way people can own and buy original art. Claire is providing artists and art lovers with a new and exciting way to discover each other whilst at the same time using this to the advantage of various charities around the country.
Challenges:
• Hold details on all ‘Canvas’ members, ticket-holders, artists, and other contacts, for example in the charities themselves and at the venues used for Champagne Parties
• File all email and other correspondence with the relevant people’s records
• Run marketing emailshots and postal mailshots and record against each contact
• Produce receipts for membership fees and for ticket sales and provide a weekly summary of achievement
• Provide event management with details of places/ tickets; the selected artists; the venue arrangements
• Have shared diaries, including the calendar of events, so that users can see what’s happening plus interface with Outlook and interface with PDA
Solutions:
The installation and use of eLink Advantage business management system to enable all the partners to participate from their own offices. The system was personalised for CanvasUK:
• the information about artists, sculptors and photographers for example personal styles, oil or water-colour and subject matter they preferred
• information about supporters and members, their likes and dislikes, the media they prefer, the events they attend
• events information was added for holding details of venues, facilities, room capacities, prices and options
• all emails can be filed easily (even including mailshots) in each contacts record as can all relevant documents
• for each artist, sculptor and photographer a file of pdfs, gifs and jpgs for all their works with descriptions and sorting and listing information eg genre, size, price, availability, shipping details
• details for creating sales invoices and purchase orders
• details for handling purchase invoices and expenses and summarising the accounts records“
The eLink Advantage system allows me to handle all the overlapping elements of arranging the charity showings, arranging venues, inviting guests and members and of booking memberships and receipts without having to invest in teams of support staff. It even helps me book deliveries!
